Alleged Police Officers Arrested and Suctioned at Vushtrri Hospital

Kosovo police have arrested the tworks Arsim Latifaj and Ekrem Sefiu suspected of corruption at the Vushtrri Hospital.

Meanwhile, Isuf Zekaj is on annual leave and the same has been called on the phone to surrender to the Kosovo Police, reports Schneta newspaper.

The news is confirmed by hospital director Dr. Shacrit. The Kosovo police have just arrested him in Hospital, Dr. Edsim Latifaj and Dr. Ekrem Sefiu. Dr. Isuf Zakaj is on an annual leave for what he was called on the phone and was asked to surrender to police”, Shatri declared.

She also announced that the three surgeons were suspended from work in this hospital.

In this case, we will act in accordance with the legislation in force and with this case Dr. Isuf Zakaj, dismissed from the U.S. chief of the Department and suspended from work, as well as Dr. Ekrem Sefiu and Dr. Edsim Latifaj is suspended from work until a new decision”, Shatri said.

We remember that the three surgeons are involved in a corruption scandal initiated by journalist Bujar Vitija in the Kosovo Police on October 3rd last year.
