The operation was conducted between the provinces of Trent, Brescias, Vicenza, Mantuas, Pratos and Bar, as well as in Belgium and Holland by the Carabiniers of the Trent Provincial Command, with the co-operation of competent territorial departments and foreign police forces.
As for those arrested, there were 15 Moroccans, 8 Albanians, 3 Tunisians, 1 Algerians, 1 Kosovar and 10 Italians.
They are accused of being part of a network aimed at international trafficking and drug trading.
Checks were conducted at home, which enabled them to locate and sequencing a total of 1kg of cocaine, 160 grams of hashish, 32,000 euros in cash, and a luxurious clock.
The investigation, launched in May 2020 by the Carabiniers of the Trente Investigative Unit, under the direction of the District Attorney, enabled the identification and disposal of two separate criminal organisations dedicated to trade and drug trafficking.
The first association, composed mainly of Albanian citizens deployed in Trentino, supplied many vacationers in the area with heroin, but also cocaine, marijuana and marijuana.
Concretically, heroin came from the Milan area and was reselled into large quantities by the Tunisian drug dealers who were operating in Trento, while cocaine was purchased by suppliers in Cambodia and transported to Trainto every week, writes Ansa.
The second association, composed mainly of North Africans, had instead developed a genuine international cocaine traffic, imported by Belgium and the Netherlands to supply Alto Garda and Basso Sarca squares.
The investigative event, which also took place in the provinces Brescia and Vicenza, enabled the arrest of 11 people during its development and the seizure of 23kg of cocaine, one kilogram of heroin and a pound of marijuana. /Abcnews.al/
