Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has celebrated today the 24th anniversary of the Dliu massacre of the Deliu family in Upper Abria.
Krasniqi has said that this massacre in the Upper Abria, as well as more than 400 other massacres committed by Serbia in Kosovo, is evidence that this occupant state, was intended to exterminate Albanians with the entire military arsenal and with the worst possible methods.
“24 years ago, the Serbian genocide against Albanians was repeated with its true face, with all the brutality of the Occupatory Army in Upper Abria, where the target of the attacks was the Deliu family. On this day, 23 innocent members of this large family were slaughtered.
This massacre at the Upper Abria, as well as over 400 other massacres committed by Serbia in Kosovo, is evidence that this occupant state, was intended to exterminate Albanians with the full military arsenal and with the most vicious methods possible”, Krasniqi wrote, bowing to the Deliu family sacrifice.
With honor we bow down to the sacrifice of the Deliu Family, for its 23 members, from the oldest Fazliu, 94, to Valmir 2 years old and Dituria, who was only six weeks old that day. Our story will never forget how valuable the freedom we enjoy today and how difficult it was our people's journey to liberation”, has written the leader of PDK.
He has remembered the three KLA heroes from the Upper Abria, who fell the same day on the altar of freedom, Valdet Xhemajli, Vesel Demak and Africa Hajdaraj.
“Planifications and executions of this terrible massacre that shocked the world have not yet received due punishment. But, Kosovo will not stop seeking justice for each of the massacres committed by Serbian occupier”, Krasniqi has concluded.
