Kamberi in Serbia's Parliament that is under discussion for Kosovo: Kosovo is independent

A special session is under way in Serbia, where Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, introduced “Report for the negotiations process with the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina”, from June 15th 2021 to September 1, 2022. Vuciq told MPs that Serbia will not recognise Kosovo, but that politics [...]
Kosovo is independent of Serbia and whatever you want to achieve there, you have to reach agreement with local authorities and whoever will be in power there, Serbia has no influence, said European Region Group representative Shaip Kamberi in Parliament. Discussion.
“Serbs in the Republic of Kosovo have multiple guaranteed rights with the Constitution in parliamentary representation and executive power, while Albanians and other minorities in Serbia do not”, Kamberi has said.
Kamberi stressed that the US unequivocally supports the Brussels dialogue and that the recent agreement on documents should be used to continue dialogue until the final normalisation of relations.
He stressed that the stability of the Western Balkans is related to that issue and that without progress in dialogue, neither side can hope for EU membership, adding that the EU says dialogue with Kosovo is crucial for Serbia on its European path.
Kamberi estimated that the final agreement between Serbia and Kosovo is one of the most difficult challenges, and added that Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has been chosen to lead the country and find solutions to the most difficult political issues.
He said it is Vucinqi's obligation to lead Serbia towards solutions that create European prospects for it.
Kamberi stressed that improving relations with the “of life enemy” requires skills for reconciliation and that “has no reconciliation without facing the past”, so Serbia needs peace with Albanians because the future of citizens and the perspective of the Western Balkans depends on it.
Kamberi told Vuciqi how the man leading Serbia, he has the greatest responsibility to show Serbia's citizens for Kosovo “the truth and only the truth, rather than the empty desires and uninhibited political ambitions”.
He estimated that positive results cannot be expected if we stick to attitudes that are the product of the <x0 minus medieval” with a complete denial of current reality.
Kamberi recalled that the US and the EU are telling Serbia that it is not the question of whether it goes east or west, but that there is only one direction and that Serbia is entitled to decide how quickly it wants to get there.
He has estimated that there is still no atmosphere in Serbia in which one would seek forgiveness from Albanians.
Kamberi said that those who see Serbia linked to the “eastern performance” are trying to gain political points and are not statesmen, “a are moving towards the future by turning back” and wanting no solution but the continuation of the problem.
He has said the solution should not be sought in the <x0...400 weapons of Serbian police officers” in Kosovo, and that Albanians of the Presevo Valley think normalising relations between Serbia and Kosovo is of vital importance to the future.
