The club where the American activated, Atlanta United, issued an official communique after this case.
“We are aware of a recent arrest involving Miles Robinson. We are continuing to collect all information about the incident and we will have no further comments at this moment”.
According to the report, a copy of which was provided by “ESPN”, incident occurred in “PBER Atlanta”, a bar near Truist Park.
The report claims that Robinson refused to pay for a $5 drink, which he allegedly obtained from a plate of drinks.
The bartender called the bar manager, who asked police to get Robinson out.
After being stopped by the police, Robinson was told that all he had to do was pay for his drink, and he could leave peacefully. According to the report, Robinson replied: “All this over five dollars, brother...”
In addition, the American protector is said to have charged the bartender as a racist, claiming: “You want to hear only the racist bartender, you won't listen to me”, adding that all this happened because he was the only black male in that bar.
Police eventually arrested Miles Robinson, who was then released on bail on a $50 fine.
