Slovenian President: If Ukraine-Russia war continues, tensions drop in Western Balkans

Slovenia's president, Borut Pahor, estimates that if the Russia-Ukraine war continues to last, tensions could also descend in the Western Balkans.

Pahor made these comments to the media during his visit to Turkey, where he was hosted by Turkish President Erdogan, who has said the Western Balkan region deserves peace.

If this war lasts longer than expected, then tensions can descend south into the Western Balkans”, Pahor said.

And I want to tell all states and all leaders that this region deserves peace, security and welfare”, the Slovenian president added.
