Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) Vlora Citaku has declared that the war in Kosovo ended 23 years ago.

Therefore, according to him, Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statement, that there may be a war following developments in the north, has caused much panic, confusion and uncertainty. She says that those who have wanted to join the liberation war have been old enough to do so.

Citaku has demanded that Kurti be serious and cautious in his statements, adding that he has inherited a Kosovo in peace, independent and sovereign. Peace and security in the country, it says, are also guaranteed by NATO's presence in Kosovo.

The “has been a statement that has caused much panic, much confusion, much confusion. A prime minister, if he's serious about what he says when he makes warnings of war, does not make them from the beaches of Greece or from concerts. When there are serious warnings about war, the prime minister invites mobilization, addresses the people, addresses citizens, and explains the situation”.

The war in Kosovo ended 23 years ago. Some of us were old enough at the time and those who wanted to fight and could fight have joined the liberation war. The prime minister has inherited a Kosovo in peace, independent and sovereign. Of course, with challenges because neither Rome was built in one day. However, the prime minister must be more cautious, more cautious in addressing the public. It shouldn't panic. If there are warnings, Prime Minister Kurti must make them public, denouncing them”.

“We have NATO in Kosovo, which has mandated to preserve the country's peace and security and territorial integrity. Clearly, we have challenges in the north, with criminal structures, which are directly sponsored by Belgrade and Government there. Of course we have to do our part of the job, so that those structures can break down and order and the law prevail in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo. However, the public word is of weight, especially when it comes from a prime minister”.

Although it says that the situation in the north is fragile, it requires the prime minister to change access to dialogue with Serbia, adding that this process does not dare to degrade in stierssa.

Citaku says that at this stage it should be insisted on comprehensive agreements, which have mutual recognition at the centre rather than this status quo, because it goes in favour of regional destabilisation.

The prime minister must change approach. We must not agree to anything without agreement. Dialogue does not dare to corrupt the stierssa. We must go to Brussels and seek an agreement under which all issues are involved. We cannot behave as if dialogue with Serbia started today. The prime minister must also learn from experience, legacy, now more than a decade of the dialogue process. It is not that efforts have been made to solve the problem by addressing technical issues. But that approach has reached the limit of agreements that can be reached”.

“We now have to insist on a comprehensive agreement that has mutual recognition at the centre. Everything else maintains the status quo and we know that maintaining the status quo goes in favour of the destructive forces in the region and at the wide end of”.

The former Kosovo ambassador to the US states that co-ordination with the Allies is necessary for any process in the country, especially when security and stability are violated.

She expects that before September 1st, when she even begins to implement reciprocity of this full co-ordination so that, as Belgrade says, she is looking forward to spark artificial crises, EO reports.

We need to coordinate with our allies. Our allies, the United States of America, the Allied countries within the European Union, have clearly said that Kosovo is right and is part of the Brussels agreement, that is, setting partial reciprocity on license plates and on ID cards. However, each step should be closely coordinated”.

The “have remained less than a month and I am hoping that during this period there will be a full co-ordination with NATO and our allies, so that September 1st will find us implementing agreements without producing artificial crises that Belgrade is looking forward to lighting”.
