They have requested the dismissal of AAC director Bujar Ejupi, as say irregularities and abuses are taking place in this institution.
It's an appointment that's come in a long time. It was an awkward meeting for us because AAC as we have expressed it through our paperwork has many irregularities, abuses and dangers of civil aviation, so we have all mentioned to the commission. They have promised to help us in this regard. They haven't had anything concrete for any specific action, but they're left to be seen, and I believe they also need an internal consultation”, one of the members of this media union said.
They have asked the Government and Parliament to activate Article 4 of the Civil Aviation Law that envisions steps when the director of this institution should be dismissed.
According to them, Ejupi, with the mandate received in June 2020, has begun punishing the staff of the Civil Aviation Authority and only including the staff involved in the AAC Workers' Union while favouring others, not union members.
The Civil Aviation Authority's Supervisor Board, in a letter two days ago, has asked the Government and the Assembly of Kosovo to activate Article 4 of the Civil Aviation Law that envisions steps when the director of this institution should be dismissed.
The board claims that the general director, Bujar Ejupi, has begun taking over the mandate in June 2020 has started punishing the Civil Aviation Authority staff and that, including only the staff involved in the AAC Workers Union while favouring others, not union members.
“We as a board have suggested initiated the disciplinary procedure against the Executive Official because it has failed to meet its obligations to the Board, while the DP (general director) has amnisted violations. The official is not a member of the Union”, the letter continues.
The board has recommended that the prime minister, the chairman of the Parliament, the Commission for Planning and Development, as well as the General Army take into account alleged violations and take action immediately.
