Ukrainian authorities have reported that the country's southern city, Mykolaiv, has fallen prey to the <x0-measive” Russian bombing during the past night.
By the Russian attack last night, one of Ukraine's richest people, Olexie Vadoursky and his wife Raisa, said the area's governor.
The city mayor called the bombings “perhaps the largest of all time”.
A hotel, a sports complex, two schools, and one service, as well as residences, reports the BBC.
Mykolaiv is one of the cities leading to Odessa, Ukraine's main port, which has been constantly hit by the Russian army.
Russia, meanwhile, has cancelled Navy Day celebrations in the occupied Crime.
The reason given by Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozayev was an alleged Ukrainian-dance attack on Black Fleet headquarters.
The fleet has long been based on Sevastopol.
But a senior Ukrainian official, Serhiy Bratchuk, dismissed the Russian report as a “provocation”.
Russian forces annexed Crime in 2014.
The move was internationally condemned and prompted sanctions against Russia.
Navy Day is an annual Russian holiday, and celebrations are taking place throughout Russia today. /abcnews.al/
