I'm so glad to see you again so soon after the Madrid summit. Albania is truly a highly esteemed and highly contributing ally and contributes a lot. Albania contributes to NATO forces in Latvia and Bulgaria. You contribute to the KFOR mission in Kosovo, and the Western Balkans has strategic importance for NATO. We appreciate your commitment to foster stability. At the Madrid summit, we made a lot of important defence decisions”.
Stolteberg, at a joint conference with Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, also thanked him for Albania's commitment to assist Ukraine in these difficult times that it is being located due to Russian aggression, Klakosova reported.tv.
I commend Albania for ratifying NATO membership protocols for Finland and Sweden very soon. This proves that the NATO door is open and that we support every country to choose its own path. We're facing the biggest crisis in decades. We stay with Ukraine and its support will continue long. I welcome Albania's support for Ukraine and your commitment to aid in Ukraine. Your visit to Ukraine was a testimony to solidarity”, Stoltenberg said.
