This department is currently operating with only one radiation device until the other device is expected to be functional soon. The Oncology Clinic staff will call patients in order to continue with radiation.
And Shaban Zilega, from the village of Savrovwe in Theranda, just heard that the Radirapy Service at Oncology has been back in operation, came to receive therapy. So why wasn't he on the list, the radio therapy staff allowed him to perform radiation.
However, patients have to wait until the Oncology staff calls for radio therapy, because at present it is only one of the radiation devices.
“A device is released into operation and is currently busy. But we in the department work with two devices, one camera is still on trial, it's not released. Patients who have stopped the radiation we've started calling and they've started beaming”, Sonja Blakay, chief of Radio therapy Department, told the public television.
The next radiation testing team is trying to function it. The first to receive services in this department will be called on to interrupt treatment and then those planned for radiation. Oncologists will also see to the modification of doses for patients.
“Radio therapy experts will see the possibility that all of these patients who have been waiting for two weeks, who have not received radio therapy service, make sure that they don't lose anything and don't suffer anything about their health, said Ardian Milaku, director of the Oncology Clinic.
Two weeks earlier, the Radiorapy Department, as a result of the flooding, had suspended all services for patients.
