Osman for Special: If I am mistaken, I expect citizens to judge me

President Vjosa Osmani in 2015, as deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, had given a speech that strongly engaged MPs to pave the way for the establishment of the Special Court, voting the amendments to change the Constitution. As he argued, Osman had told MPs “if I'm mistaken, I expect citizens to judge me”. Osman [...]
“U said here that the decisions are not forgotten, I agree with you and I want to share a confession: just before the last elections I met at Skopje Airport some young people who had returned from Afghanistan because they were there with the American Army and they told me that in the last elections held in June they came from Afghanistan to vote for some of us. And, I, when I asked why, they told me that by this date you voted this way, you voted against this agreement and for me that was one of the most important moments in the political career to see that these decisions are not forgotten. And if I err this day, I pray much, that they may judge me; and I wait for them to judge me; let them judge me. But let anyone who is convinced that this scenario that I've spoken about so far can happen, even a 20 percent can happen...”, Osmani had declared.
But her speech ended here. Osmani for 10 minutes had exhausted all her arguments and knowledge from the justice field in favour of MPs voting in favour. Osmani had said that if that did not be done by Kosovo, Kosovo would make the UN with Russia's initiative. It had even challenged MPs to talk to KS member states missions UN of” and be convinced of this. Osman even mentioned former Russian Ambassador Vitaly Churkiné now late) that he was standing with “one leg” to do so. Osmani told MPs that neither the US could stop this and that everything would end with a text of compromise. Osman then mentioned a series of courts that had created the UN to address war crimes around the world. But on Friday, the president went to blame President Thaci completely.
“We don't forget as much as anyone can have such a desire as who insisted most and who pressured the most so that the Special Court could be established a few years ago, we don't forget as much as anyone can have such a desire”, she said.
