Statements by the foreign minister came at the time of Ukraine's efforts to continue exporting wheat from Black Sea ports, something that would help in world food shortages.
Speaking at a summit of the Arab League on Sunday, Lavrov said Moscow is committed to helping Ukrainians “get rid of this completely unacceptable” regime.
Lavrov accused Kyiv and his Western ally of raising propaganda meant by Ukraine to become Russia's eternal enemy.
The Russian and Ukrainian people would continue to live together and certainly help the Ukrainian people break free from the regime that is anti-popular and anti-historic”, he added.
Lavrov's stances conflict with the Kremlin's early statement, when Russian officials repeatedly reiterated that they are not seeking the collapse of President Zelensky's government. /Periscopi/
