The Kosovo Democratic Institute has stated that the Health Ministry pays about 280% more expensive for the Paracetamol product 1 g per injection compared to the value of the retail market.
KDI adds that MSH has made the purchase of this product at 3.80 euros per entity, while the same in the retail market is sold at a price of about 1.00 euros per entity, reports news.net.
KDI also called on the Kosovo Assembly, the Commission for Health, to maintain accountability to the Ministry of Health for its economic costs.
Full response:
What?? )
# The Ministry of Health through the United Nations Project Services Office (#UNOPS) has contracted the purchase of Paracetamol 1gr product for injection at the price of 3.80 EURO to unit. This product in Kosovo's retail market (barnators) is sold at a price of about 1.00 EURO to unit.
KDI is constantly spreading concerns about buying medicine from # UNOPS at very high prices, as well as calling #The Ministry of Health to seek accounts from UNOPS for these awards, which the citizen of Kosovo eventually pays.
Next, KDI also called on #Kosovo's Assembly, #The Health Commission and #Commission for Public Finance Management to keep in account #The Health Ministry for Emotional Expenses made through the contract the Ministry of Health has awarded # UNOPS for medical purchases.
Also, we're looking for #The National Audition Office, to make an urgent audit of this contract performance between #The Ministry of Health and # UNOPS. /Lajmi.net/
