Montenegro's president has warned state Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic that his minority government could collapse if they sign the Constitutional Agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Djukanovic, speaking of texting the agreement, has said it contains parts that “falsify the history of Montenegro”, broadcast the Express newspaper.
He has said the agreement would be acceptable for signing if there were no interpretations of history.
President Djukanovic has said that the launch of the Abazovic Government's collapse will do this Sunday, if the deal lives.
He has spoken in an interview for N1, where he has stated that warnings of signing such an agreement have not been surprising to him.
“Z. Abazovic decided all of a sudden to reform the government's agenda priorities, so that instead of meeting the negotiations chapters 23 and 24, the signing of contracts for issues of common interest to the Government of Montenegro and the Serbian Church would come first. He decided not to accept a more comprehensive process before the government makes a decision... Everything that's been done on that plan has become very clumsy”, Djukanovic said.
