Former director of the Agency for Emergency Management fired by Minister Svechla had left for his office today to exercise his duty as always. Some agency officials, however, did not allow him to enter.
So Kodra had called the Kosovo Police, where they had immediately appeared at the scene.
This was confirmed by Fadil Kodra's lawyer, Faton Fetah, who said police came out and identified the fact that Kodra was obstructed in the exercise of official duty.
According to Fetah, agency officials have obeyed the illegal orders of Minister Svechla.
It's a hostage, and for that purpose it's denouncing the police. At Fadil Kodra's invitation, police have arrived and recorded that Kodra is a hostage to his duty and official function. It has been hampered by official people at the Agency who have obeyed the illegal orders of MPB Minister”, Fetah said.
In his response, Fetah said the decision to dismiss Kodra is suspended as there is a complaint with the Independent Council.
The case has already been opened in the Kosovo Police, and according to the Kodra attorney tomorrow, it is expected to become a criminal outcry against the current U.D. director.
The decision on the Kodra dismissal has been suspended, because the moment the complaint goes to the Independent Council is suspended. Now we're out of the police station where we issued the statement, tomorrow we're going to have a direct criminal report on the U.D. of the current director”, Fetah said.
At the end of the day, Fetah added that he would not leave a stone unmoved to put lawbreakers to account.
“We will not leave stone unmoved to take responsibility for violators of the law and officers of illegal orders”, Fetah said.
Emergency Management Agency Director Diplomat was dismissed on Thursday (July 14th) with the decision by Interior Minister Jedal Svechla.
Fadil Kodra has served as the head of the agency managing fire units since 2010, when he was appointed to this position by the government “Thaçi 117x1>
Kodra has been known for his activity in the Kosovo Liberation Army. He has been part of the first group of KLA fighters.
