Tahiri, who describes the energy issue as a strategic issue, has asked the government to start with taking the necessary steps before the winter season, when even greater expensive energy is expected.
“We as the political subject of energy always have strategic issues, both related to economic development, but also to the national security of the country, which is clearly being clearly a problem as serious as it is”.
“Today we met with the ECDS director, who we were informed of developments and preparations that are being made for the winter season. We raised several issues, what is being prepared and how much KEDS is preparing for Kosovo citizens to pass and have lights during a season that will not be easy, the second is directly dealing with reports with Government”.
“U interested in whether they took any action along with Government in relation to the construction of long-term contracts. Even from ZRE, but from here too, we see that the Government is really neglecting this issue. We're asking the Government to urgently start establishing the task force in order to confront a problem that has been real. When winter comes, let's not say we're late or the prices are rising. The price is expected to triple... We will also continue meetings with other institutions”, Tahiri said.
On the other hand, the AAK's GP chief said it is important that the Government do its job and stop rising prices.
The problem only comes up. If there's no action now, there's no strategy, then it's a problem. Two themes are key to us, the first one for Government to do its job, the second not to raise prices in any form”.
