Today it is voted for the fifth time in Trnoc, Albanians fight for one seat in Serbian Parliament

For the fifth time, residents of the village of Trnoc the Great Bujanoc today will turn to ballot boxes. Their votes will be determining whether Shaip Kamberi will again be the only Albanian MP in the Serbian Parliament or whether the mandate will meet Ivica Dacic's Socialist Party of Serbia. [...]
Votering rights at primary school “Muharrem Kadriu” in this village have 1,089 voters. The Valley Albanian Coalition needs 610 votes to enter Serbia's Parliament, while the SPS does not get any since this would increase the election threshold.
The candidate for another term, Shaip Kamberi, says he is tired of repeated repetition, but says the alternative is only surrender to evil.
We are at war, not just to elect an MP, but to justice, equality and freedom. We are seeking nothing more than equal treatment as citizens, dignified treatment and vital rights. I am fully aware that this battle for representation has caused much fatigue and frustration on each of us, and it has become boring and annoying to me too, but the alternative to that is surrender. Surrender to those who don't want us good. This is not a struggle to comfort a person, as some are trying to present. The representation has nothing to do with this, because a person's fate is absolutely insignificant in relation to our collective destiny”, said the day before.
Kamberi said today's battle concerns the political resistance of Albanians in Serbia, articulating the demands of Albanians in a clear and just manner, and continuing the fight for dignified life.
Submission and surrender is not something that people who are oppressed choose, nor should we. We owe resistance to the martyrs and generations and generations of people sacrificed for freedom and justice. We owe it to those 9500 votes that have our list right now, which will be broken without 610 votes in the Strucara district of”, Kamberi added.
Both across Serbian administrative territory, elections were held in Trnovic on April 3rd. On 21st that month, the Administrative Court in Nis ordered the repeat elections in this village due to irregularities.
The elections were repeated on April 28th. Voter turnout stood at 64%, and the Valley Albanian Coalition received 677 votes and so Kamberi secured the MP's mandate. However, Ivica Daciqi's Socialist Party of Serbia sought elections after a citizen had voted without valid personal documents, the request was approved.
The elections were again held on May 27th in Ternovic the Great. In the polls were 618 voters, Kamberi received 598 votes, insufficient to elect an MP. The Valley Albanian coalition rejected the process after saying a person had voted without ID. The election commission did not give him the right, but the Administrative Court ordered a new vote.
In the fourth consecutive vote, on June 23rd, there have been false bomb alarms at the polling station. That's why there was no vote.
Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, questioned days ago about the process in Trnovic, said it was not very clear what was happening there.
Even in Trnovic, however, elections are not closed, nor can Serbia's new Assembly meet and begin its mandate.
In the 2020 elections, Albanians received three mandates after competing jointly, while this year they chose to compete on two different lists and therefore have no mandates secure.
