Von Croamon: News from Bulgaria makes me optimistic about EU Summit results

Eurodeputta Violet von Cromon is enjoying positive news coming from Bulgaria following signals former Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov gave, who, as leader of opposition party G. ERB has given support to the French proposal for resolving conflicts with Northern Macedonia and unblocking its European integration process. This sounds [...]
“This sounds good (Borissov will not allow the government to collapse for Northern Macedonia?) which makes me more optimistic about the outcome of the EU-Western Balkans summit tomorrow in Brussels”, Cromon wrote on Twitter.
Borisov has called on Prime Minister Kiril Petkov's government on Wednesday to submit the proposal to Parliament, to be approved by the majority of Bulgarian lawmakers. Borisov has deemed it a very good “” French proposal, since, as he has said, contains all Bulgarian side requirements.
Following these moves in Bulgaria, Albania, Northern Macedonia and Serbia will participate in the two-day summit that begins tomorrow in Brussels.
In the afternoon, debate is expected to begin on this proposal at Bulgaria's Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs and with support from the G Party ERB, the proposal would be approved by MPs at the plenary session. The Bulgarian Parliament, meanwhile, is also debating the motion of no confidence in the government.
