Democratic Party of Kosovo Deputy Chairman Enver Hoxhaj in an interview for Top Channel says Kosovo's association in the Open Balkans is necessary.
Hoxhaj adds that, in economic terms, trade with Serbia should not intimidate anyone. However, it refutes the Kosovo Government's arguments, which say turnout is linked to Kosovo's uneven treatment in this initiative.
The refusal to become part of the Open Balkans has implications on many aspects argued against former Foreign Affairs Minister Hoxhaj, since according to him, participation in this regional initiative has been decided on by the Washington Agreement.
Hoxhaj has also urged other opposition parties to look further into the open Balkans in order to persuade Government to give up its isolation.
According to the deputy head of the Kosovo Assembly, this is the last moment for the Kosovo government to reflect and demonstrate that it is co-operative.
