In the first few days, defenders of the island had become national heroes when they told the Russian battleship in the Black Sea, Moscow, to leave with a somewhat more distinct term.
Since then, both sides have fought for control of the island covered with short grass, with regular missile attacks.
Despite the losses, Russia seemed to have consolidated control over the island; artillery, rockets and soldiers all had been sent out and seemed to have resisted.
Today, however, the Ukrainian Operational Command claimed a great victory.
“Through the night, as a result of a successful scheme of military operation with missile and artillery attacks, the quick enemy evacuated the remainder of the gasp on Serpent Island with two swift ships... Right now, he's covered in fire and” explosions.
Recently, Russia has admitted to withdrawing from the island. Their vision to events is different, saying they have left as a “opening goodwill” for “helping the United Nations establish a humanitarian corridor to transport agricultural products from Ukraine”
The truth of the matter, however, will be a great victory for Ukraine.
If this brings close to the day when the Black Sea will again be sure of exports of goods, it is a victory that could be of global importance. /Periscopi/
