(4 years ago)Ukraine and Moldova have been accepted membership candidate status in the European Union, European Council President Charles Michel announced. He wrote on Twitter that this is a heroic moment until he congratulated the leaders of both countries. “Today a decisive step was marked on your path to the EU. The future is common”, Michel wrote. Ukrainian President Wolfymyr Zelensky reacted to this. He said he is grateful for the decision, as well as considered the historic moment for Ukrainians.
