Scholz is the first German Chancellor to visit Kosovo. The country's prime minister saw this as historic.
He brought with him some basic messages. The recognition of Kosovo by Serbia at the end of an agreement between the two states, the Berlin Process as a priority and support for visa liberalisation for Kosovo were some of them.
