A woman involved in a flood was found dead under a car in the city's Rouen rate, French Interior Minister Erald Darman announced on Twitter. An autopsy is under way.
The holes were destroyed, the flights canceled, the lightning struck the Eiffel Tower, but it did no harm. The people of southwest France posted images of a hail in the size of tennis balls and photos of flooded highways.
Thousands of families were left without electricity. Flights from Paris Orly Airport were temporarily suspended yesterday, and there was delays at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Darman stressed that this is the first “in the last 20 years” that the storm has affected such a large area.
