Representatives of Sunny Hill: Ministry made request to the municipality

Alban Kastrati has shown why there were problems between the MAPL and the Pristina municipality of land giving to the Sunny Hill Festival.

We started negotiations on a space for the festival after we saw the masovisation and the aura that was created around the festival. MAPL then had said that the procedure was not taken in order after President Ahmeti had not followed two steps and procedures through which he went to the AAK assembly were legally engaged”, he said.

He shows that Chairman for Progress Rama had immediately started consultations with the Sunny Hill team, but he adds that there had been pressure on the opposition this time in the municipal assembly.

In the second case, in contrast, we had objections from the opposition AAK, VV and AKR. That's where the media started to become. The case began to become a problem for MAPL after having pressure from the opposition”, he added.

He adds that the ministry was delayed beyond the deadline and that it asked the municipality more than needed.

We are not parties in this process. The municipality communicates with the ministry. We have met all our requests on several occasions. To be that quick we sent them to President Rama's cabinet. But the problem began to politicise. In the first case, the subject passed very quickly, but in the second case, we went through very difficult techniques. MAPL had 15 days to respond, but it has passed that deadline and we still have no blood. After the case became public, the Ministry made demands on the municipality regarding Sunny Hill. This whole process from last year. We've told everyone we're in the waiting process. The need to start work was urgent. Probably here we didn't understand with the ministry”, he concluded.
