Powerful earthquake hits this country

According to the Turkish Disaster Management and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD), the earthquake was at a depth of 18.6km and occurred at 9:35 local time.
Governor Ozan Baldji said no “negative report” after the earthquake, but that emergency teams were working to identify possible damage.
More than 600 people were killed, and thousands were injured when a 7.2 - magnitude earthquake struck Van province in 2011.
