Former President of the Republic of Albania Ilir Meta has commemorated the day of Kosovo's liberation.
Through a Facebook post, Meta writes that today every Albanian enjoys the achievements of the Republic of Kosovo, the key factor for peace, stability and security in the region, the inspiring example of building democracy and the rule of law, which deserves as soon as NATO is a member, the beneficiary of visa liberalisation, a member of the Council of Europe, as well as any international organisation.
According to him on this historic day, we honour President Ibrahim Rugova's strategic vision, the glorious resistance of the KLA, the legendary heroism of Commander Adem Jashar and the sacrifices of any Albanian who contributed to freedom and independence.
