The four memorandum agreements signed yesterday by “Open Balkans” leaders

Prime Ministers Dimitar Kovacevski and Edi Rama, as well as the president, Aleksandar Vuciq, will further deepen co-operation in the economic, educational, culture and tourism sphere.
The agreements, according to them, will also strengthen peace and stability in the region, following Russian aggression in Ukraine, due to fears of the influence of another country, alluding to Russia.
The first agreement has to do with fighting tax evasion, or, tax evasion. The agreement stresses the need for joint work to encourage meeting tax obligations in all three countries.
In the text of the initial agreement in the area of mutual recognition of diplomas, the initiative advocates speeding up procedures for recognising higher education diplomas between Serbia, Albania and Northern Macedonia.
The memorandum for cultural co-operation promotes cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding.
According to the memorandum, states commit to encouraging the mobility of cultural workers, financing cultural projects and deepening institutional co-operation.
In the Memorandum of Understanding in the area of tourism in the Western Balkans, states predict the formation of a tourist map called “Open Balkans”. /rel
