“Ukraina suffered a major cholera epidemic in 1995 and has experienced minor explosions since then, especially around the Azov Sea coast, which includes Marioupolin”, the ministry said, adding that isolated cases had been reported in the city since May, writes Aljazeera, broadcasts Klankosova.tv.
“Medical services in Mariupol are already likely near the collapse -- a large cholera explosion in Mariupol will further exacerbate this”, the ministry added.
The ministry also said the occupied Kherson region was experiencing a lack of medicine.
We remember that cholera is an acute diarrheal disease caused by utero infection with bacteria “Vibrio holerae”. People may get sick when they swallow food or water contaminated with cholera bacteria.
The infection is often mild or free of symptoms, but sometimes it can be serious and life - threatening.
