Macron arrived in Romania on Tuesday for a three-day meeting in the southern NATO region, including Moldova prior to a possible trip towards Kiev on Thursday for a visit with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italy's Prime Minister Mario Draghi, two diplomatic sources said.
“We will do everything to stop Russia's war forces, help Ukrainians and their army and continue to negotiate”, he said in front of French and NATO troops at a military base in Romania.
Recently, Macron had said that it was too much for the underhanded “mos” Russia has continued to maintain communications channels with the Kremlin to find a diplomatic solution when fighting ends.
