The head of the AAK Parliamentary Group, Besnik Tahiri, has criticised the EU's approach to Kosovo, but also the government's failure to respond to the issue, Periscope follows.
“As a Parliamentary Group we have decided to address the issue, an injustice being done to Kosovo and its officials, and it is directly linked to visa liberalisation. At the Western Balkans summit, the usual one happened for Kosovo, so the call for dialogue. ”
“The AAK views with concern the EU's irreversive approach to Kosovo, and the not serious treatment of our right request for free movement and visa liberalisation”.
What we know is that the conditions presented by the EC have now been fulfilled many years ago, there has been a pro-visa vote in the European Parliament. Now, as the GP, we ask two questions for EU members; Is this a sanction policy being made to Kosovo or Kosovo is a hostage to the internal policy of members of the European Union”.
“On the other hand, we see a failure to respond to the Government of Kosovo against this subject. So the lack of access to the Government in relation to the ignorance given to this subject is surprising. As far as they were in the opposition, they were always critical, they were attacking the subject. Now that they are Government, however, there was no reaction. On the other hand, it is seen that Russian lobbies through Belgrade are having a direct impact on European Union decision making”, Tahiri said.
The AAK has indicated that they will initiate parliamentary debate on the issue of visa liberalisation, in order to address this issue at high levels. /Periscope.
