Festival “Sunny Hill” this year will not be held in Pristina, and for that, organisers hold Government responsible.
Alban Kastrati, representative of “Sunny Hill”, who had negotiated with Pristina chairman Progress Rama to take over 17 hectares of land for 99 years for organising this event, has said Prime Minister Albin Kurti has been warned about the possibility of shifting the festival from Pristina to Tirana.
“Yes, we have warned, we are told that we will be answered, of course MAPL is not the answer to the definition decision, no decision has been made, no courage and action is needed, no discussion is needed, time is key to”, Kastrati is expressed in the special edition of the Klan Kosovo.
Kastrati said Kurt was later locked up in this discussion.
“Prime Minister Kurti has later been locked up in question, at the moment he is in question, has requested additional discussions, but the days are essential for the festival, we are not against the discussion with Kurti, we will be ready to discuss, but not at the expense of the festival's realisation or failure”, he added.
He stressed that they have met with all levels of the state.
“We have met with all levels, it has not been a quick impulsive decision, it has been a series of meetings, until the moment, a despair for the destruction of this process, until the festival can't be held because only a few days remain for preparations”, he stressed.
On the other hand, Kastrati also listed the problems he faced, citing the “policyisation of the issue and delays of the Ministry of Management of Local Power”.
Subtitles by: The AAK and AKR's hearing at the assembly, because they have brought up the topic of discussion as if we need land”, Kastrati said.
“MAPL has politicised the issue from the moment it was disputed in the assembly, the problem is even earlier, it's the second time it's voted in the assembly, it's the second time MAPL has not reacted, it's the second time we're unsuccessful to close the” process, he said.
Express reported yesterday that the largest festival to be organised in Kosovo, “Sunny Hill”, this year will not be held in Pristina. Organisers have been drawn after disappointments over dealing with this issue by the Government.
