Kurti expressed satisfaction that along with municipal leaders, they will discuss topics that matter to the state, society in general and citizens.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, its teachings, and its obligations resulting from it remain reference to our daily and our work. They serve as guides for each of our decisions. “E the key infrastructure of this right path is a justice system that should provide and care for the ever-deserved application of order and law. That is why justice is one of our two priorities and last week's opinions by the Venice Commission on the two most integral issues related to it, showed us that the reform drafted by us is also necessary”, Prime Minister Kurti said.
Deputy Prime Minister Emilia Rexhepi, Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu, and the mayors and deputy mayors, also spoke there.
Deputy Prime Minister Rexhepi stressed the necessity of respecting minority communities' rights, the rights of disabled people, creating conditions for free movement and employment.
Meanwhile, Minister Haxhiu called on municipal leaders for even greater commitment to law enforcement and respect for human rights, as well as preventing political influence in municipal courts.
Mayors and deputy mayors named the meeting and the topic of discussion useful.
They highlighted the challenges and problems facing law enforcement, different projects with nongovernmental organisations and foreign embassies to improve conditions for minority communities, the need for administrative reform, problems with the lack of swimmers in municipalities and others.
