Chairman PDK, Memli Krasniqi, has met in the Kosovo Assembly, Prime Minister Albin Kurti to talk about the Veting process.
Because the Venice Commission in its opinion has also called for achieving institutional and political consensus, transparency and high professional standards, The PDK estimates that the only right, proper and sustainable solution is the development of this process on the part of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament, in whose constitutional responsibility, in the last instance, also remains the adoption of necessary constitutional changes”, Krasniqi writes.
Notification:
After the invitation I received from Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to meet in Government on Veting's process, I have invited Kosovo Prime Minister Kurti to meet as the highest state institution to discuss and adopt issues of vital interest to citizens and the country's future.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo has been proposing and elaboring the need for the beginning of a Veting process in the Republic of Kosovo's justice system. Such a process should be implemented in full compliance with the Kosovo Constitution and specific recommendations of the Venice Commission.
Since the Venice Commission has also sought to achieve institutional and political consensus, transparency and high professional standards, The PDK estimates that the only right, relevant and sustainable solution is the development of this process on the part of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament, in whose constitutional responsibility, in the last instance, also remains the adoption of the necessary constitutional changes.
We believe that to implement such a process, a broad consensus among parliamentary political parties, civil society and field experts is necessary.
The PDK, as a founding party and constructive state, remains committed to providing its contribution to any legal and constitutional initiative that serves needed reforms and is made in full co-ordination with the country's strategic partners, civil society and other interest parties. /Periscope
