During his stay in Turkey, General Jashari, under General Guler, was met at an official meeting by Defence Minister Hulusi Akar.
A series of issues were discussed at the meeting, starting with security developments in Europe, those in the region and challenges in the security and defence sector.
The particular topic of discussion was Turkey's support for Kosovo for participation in the Partnership for Peace programme and towards NATO membership.
In addition, with Defence Minister General Jashari discussed co-operation and close support from the state and Turkey's Defence Ministry towards modernising Kosovo Security Force systems and equipment.
General Yasar has also visited the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Land Force Staff and Special Forces Command.
General Jashari's official visit has continued in the city of Istanbul, where he was hosted by ceremony by the mayor of the Bajrampapja municipality where he visited the “Adem Jashari” park.
