Representatives of the Government of Kosovo and Poland have estimated that the opening of the airline is important for empowering political and economic relations between these two states.
Szymon Szynkoski, state secretary at Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressed that the new airline allows for increased economic and cultural co-operation between Poland and Kosovo.
Szynkoski added that Poland will continue to support Kosovo for integration into the European Union.
This is an important step for “Polic airlines”, but also for Kosovo-Polon relations, in terms of activities in the wider Balkan region. It is not only a consistent step of the company aimed at empowering the European market, but it also shows well about Poland's engagement in the region and beyond. I am convinced that this new line will become a kind of breaker for economic and cultural co-operation between Poland and Kosovo. In 2008, we were among the first to have recognised Kosovo's independence, today we continue to support your European aspirations and also in the consolidation of Kosovo at the regional level of”, Szynkoski stressed.
Kreshnik Ahmeti, deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, said that with the launch of today's flight, co-operation with Poland deepens.
The direct flight we are launching today is of particular importance to our citizens, whether they be professors, students, doctors or business people. Even in our political context, it enables us to work intensively to strengthen our bilateral reports between the two countries, which I believe will make it more dynamic from now on. We are living in difficult times that deepen the gap between countries with conflicting positions... Poland has a friend and an ally in Kosovo, and I look forward to working together to deepen our bilateral co-operation and relations”, he stressed.
While, Krztztof Moczulski from the company “Polices airlines”, stressed that the Warsaw-Pristina-Warstava line offers a wide network of roads to Europe and the United States of America.
Moczulski expects many Polishs will choose Pristina as a holiday destination.
The flight is not only for people travelling between Warsaw and Pristina and vice versa, but we also offer to the people of Kosovo the wide road network in the direction of Western and Eastern Europe, as well as for the United States of America and Canada. The flight today has indeed been busy and is a good sign for our future. We expect to welcome you with our planes to visit Warsaw, Poland. But, I'm also sure that many Polish people will choose Pristina as a holiday destination this year, and in the years that follow,”, Moczulski stressed.
The airline of the company “Polic airlines”, which is open today, Warsaw-Pristina-Warsaw, will have four flights a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
