IMF has opened a new account to help Ukraine

He refused to appreciate the total sum that could be collected, but said “The IMF would like it to be as big as possible, given Ukraine's great needs by being protected from Russian invasion”.
Rice said the IMF was unable to make an exact or inclusive assessment of war damage, but he added that Kiev's Economic School estimated in late May that the damage to physical infrastructure had already exceeded $11 billion.
He also said the sum would be much higher if economic losses were taken into account because of the reduction in production, the closure of companies, and the loss of revenues and investments.
