IHMK: Some Rules of Guard Against Extreme Weather

Institute Kosovo's hydrometeorology has announced that the country will be under the influence of the measures influenced by powerful cycling fields.

Under these conditions, it will hold unstable, sunny weather and clouds that will be accompanied during the day by electrical discharges, rainfall, and in some areas there is danger of storm and hail. A relatively similar weather will accompany us until the weekend.

According to the announcement, minimal temperatures will move between 13-16 degrees Celsius, while the maximum of the day is set to move between 22-27 degrees Celsius. It's gonna blow up from the north and northwest and strong local.

The biomethorological conditions are not going to be good, because besides high UV index, it is appealed that we be careful when the rainfall starts and the instructions are respected, how we should protect from the weather of lightning and storms”.

And the IHMK has also announced some rules on how to guard against extreme weather, which you can read below:

1. If you have been found outside during a storm, do not stand next to a tree, a telephone pole, or flag stake. The safe distance from high objects is twice the height of the object.

2. When the lightning threatens, get inside a house, a large building, or a fully metal vehicle.

3. If the storm approaches while outside in a forest area, take refuge under small trees and stay away from tall trees.

4. If the storm approaches while you're outside, don't be a target. It could be fatal. Do not stand on top of a hill, on an open field, or along a beach.

5. If the storm approaches while swimming or near water, exit the water immediately and leave the beach.

6. During a lightning storm, remove the umbrella, stay away from wire fences, dry clothes, metal pipes, metal tracks, and other metal objects.

7. During a lightning storm, stay away from electrical equipment, heating channels, radiators, and plumbers. Remove the main electrical devices.

8. Lightning is deadly. During a storm of lightning, do not use electric equipment as razors, cabinets, hair dryers, and laundry equipment.

9. Flooding can be deadly, but a person who appears to be killed in lightning can often be resurrected from a quick mouth - to - mouth approach, heart massage, or artificial breathing. If some people are struck by lightning, treat those who look dead first. Those who show signs of life may heal themselves.
