Haradinaj: Energy deal reached in Brussels today is not new

AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj has welcomed the approval of the guide for the implementation of energy agreements reached today in Brussels, between Kosovo and Serbia. Haradinaj said this agreement is not new, as stems from earlier energy market regulation agreements.

This agreement is not new, the beginnings of this agreement are early, stem from early agreements -- namely, regulation of the energy market, regional regulation, but especially from the independence of COST Kosova -- that is, gaining the right market to be fair, independent, or market regulated by Kosovo, as are other markets with equal rights. Based on this achievement of Kosovo, that is what we have called a victory or energy independence, when COST is joined by Entso-E, so we can say that energy sovereignty is not affected, that is, with today's agreement, the majority of obligations from this agreement are known for Kosovo even earlier, so they stem as you can see they are even called to reach energy” said Haradinaj in Rubik.

Haradinaj, however, said this innovation agreement has its sixth point, which is granted authority to the Elektroserver.

“Ris is the sixth point where an additional authority is given to Elektroserver on the investment issue and network infrastructure, so I don't know how this is arranged and to what extent. Elektroserver, therefore, their word or position may be valid if it is for a specific timeline, or it is permanent, because the plannings in investment if they distinguish from nanoconal planning, so if they do not become a national plan they can cause concerns in the future”, Haradinaj said.

Haradinaj said the agreement regulates the issue of the authority of the KOSST, Kosovo and the energy market in the north, because Elektroserver is a registered operator based on Kosovo laws and enables citizens in the north to supply energy and pay it.
