Greece on fire: Firefighters and helicopters on the ground

At least 40 firefighters, 9 planes and 4 helicopters have committed themselves to controlling the situation in Evia, Greece, where fire has fallen.

Media in Greece report that the flames have already reached the entrance of the village in Kresasto, where pines are burning.

Evia Deputy Governor Giorgos Kelaiditis has declared that authorities are considering a plan to evacuate the village as the fire moves towards the first houses and winds blowing into the area are strong. /abcnews.al/
