He told RTS that tomorrow is an important meeting in Brussels and that one of the topics that will be on the table is the candidacy of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.

This is certainly an important step for the EU and the history of our continent. We know that membership is in the EU process that requires reform. Ukraine already has several agreements with the EU and has done some work, but of course it will be a long process, as will other countries, including Serbia”, Giaufret said, broadcast the clan.

He believes it is important to continue Brussels' dialogue, move towards normalisation of relations, and that both sides will decide what the exact elements of normalisation are.

It is important to continue dialogue, move towards normalising relations. Both sides will decide the exact elements of normalisation. And step by step we will achieve a better life for the people living there”, the European official added.

Speaking of Serbia's quickest EU membership process, Giaufret said the key aspect of progress in key issues is rule of law, democracy and normalisation of relations with Pristina.

He also said it is normal that what they have achieved will be blocked if they do not see that Serbia clearly accepts its positions and added that tomorrow in Brussels it will be discussed not only for Ukraine and Moldova, but also for ways to accelerate the process in the Western Balkans.
