Those positions were made before journalists when the EU-Western Balkans Summit was beginning.
“As far as Kosovo is concerned, there is more progress towards visa liberalisation, yet no, but I think they are taking steps”, Rutte said.
In the margin of the summit, President Vjosa Osmani has been seen negotiating with the Dutch prime minister as well as with President Macro.
France and the Netherlands are the two union countries that, despite meeting the criteria from Kosovo for lifting visas, are still reluctant to make the pro decision.
In the afternoon, 27 EU leaders will hold their internal meeting under the EU Council.
They will also gather tomorrow to discuss various issues. Even though visa liberalisation for Kosovo is on the agenda, there is hope that this will be discussed by EU leaders.
