Kosovo Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca has said The Hague Special Court should have a control mechanism.
He, at a media conference, has stressed that this mechanism should be made by the international community.
The way this court is operating is, in effect, an absoluteistic court, this court is accountable to no one, so there's nowhere in the world, don't answer to anyone. What I think this court needs to be honest, to be a court in accordance with justice, to be a court of justice, not a political court, needs a control mechanism, needs an accounting mechanism, and this accountability mechanism is nowhere in sight on the” horizon.
The International Union is not establishing this control mechanism for the Special Court, Kosovo has no mechanism that controls it and against which special courts are accountable, but on the other hand, the Parliament is the founder of this court”, Conjufca has said.
