In a Twitter post, Scholz thanked Zelensky “for accepting the invitation for participating in the G7” Summit, which will be held from 26 June to 28 June at the Schloss Elmau resort on the German Alpet.
Zelensky, believed not to have left Ukraine since the start of the war on February 24th, is expected to join leaders through a video connection.
Schol arrived in Ukraine along with French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi by train early Thursday and headed towards Irpin, a country that has seen fierce fighting during the Russian occupation.
The German Chancellor pledged “international solidarity so Ukraine is able to rebuild”. /Periscopi/
