The Ministry of Health, Kosovo's National Public Health Institute, on June 03rd, 2022 at 17:41, by the Infectious Clinic, QKUK, has accepted a report on a suspicious case in Monkey Line (Monkeypox). The patient is a male, born in 1953 from the Dragas municipality.
It's hospitalized at the Infectious Clinic, QKUK on the date 03/06/2022, and received samples from the skin change and will be sent for laboratory analysis. The patient's condition is stable.
Patient epidemiological surveillance and contact tracking are continuing.
The sample will be sent to the OBS reference laboratory in the Netherlands, and we expect laboratory results to be submitted to the final diagnosis according to the previous criteria.
The patient is in isolation, hospitalized at the Infectious Clinic, QKUK.
