The news was delivered by the US Embassy in Kosovo on Wednesday.
“Mbi 600 Afghans expected temporarily in Camp Liya/Bundsteel have left and will have a second chance to build new lives in the US. Thank you to Kosovo”, it says in posting the embassy on Facebook.
Kosovo has temporarily sheltered a number of Afghans at the request of the United States.
This was after last August, power in Afghanistan was taken over by the Taliban, following American President Joe Biden's decision to withdraw American troops.
The Afghans who collaborated with the U.S. during their 20 years stay in Afghanistan have been sheltered in different European countries to escape persecution from the Afghanistan regime.
