He told the British broadcaster. BBC says you believe the United States is going back “as the rest of the world moves forward.
His comments come as the White House faces mounting pressure to challenge the abortion decision.
With the Supreme Court's ruling, abortion is not done with illegal automatism in the U.S. but states can decide whether to allow it.
About 26 countries are expected to impose bans or limit abortion in the coming weeks.
At least seven states within the United States inhabited by 16 million women of reproductive age have already laid down stops since the Supreme Court has abolished the Roe v Wade law, as the decision that has guaranteed abortion for nearly 50 years on American territory is otherwise known.
Anti-abortion activists have enjoyed the Supreme Court's decision, but Becherra said it limits women's rights.
“This decision has abolished the rights with which women who are now regeneration age” have grown.
Becherra has said she believes abortion will be a key topic in the American Congress elections, held in November of this year.
US President Joe Biden has vowed to do everything he can to protect abortion rights, but is only facing criticism within his party that he is not doing enough.
How was the decision made?
The 1973 decision Roe v Wade was approved by the Supreme Court by seven votes for and two against.
Through this decision, women have been protected from the right to end pregnancy.
The decision has given American women absolute right to abortion in the first three months of pregnancy, but has allowed that procedure in some cases even in the second quarter. / REL/
