Montenegro's Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, during his visit to Serbia, has said today that the two countries are turning a new page in bilateral relations. In addition Abazovic has said he is leading a European and secular state in which all religious communities will have the same treatment.
” We are here to resolve any issues that remain open under the Constitution and the law, and I do not devote any issue more to any importance than it deserves”, Abazovic said during the Belgrade press conference with Serbia's Prime Minister Ana Brnabiq, FoNet reports.
He added he would lead the country after state and non-party interests, alluding to the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the Social Democrat Party for text of the Base Agreement between Montenegro and the Serbian Orthodox Church.
I hear I'm a traitor, but I haven't heard that Article 5 or 10, or 11 is wrong, that you don't respect the Constitution and the law. That doesn't touch me”, Abazovic said. He announced that on Thursday there will be a meeting with Patriarch Porfirije.
