On Wednesday evening, under the anti-drug operation, coded “Trenzie”, 45.5kg of cocaine was seized in a container coming from Brazil.
The amount of cocaine came in transit from Brazil to northern Macedonia, and was reportedly seized thanks to information available by the Durres Police Department's Criminal Police Department, while the two detainees are charged with criminal work “Narcotic trafficking”.
The container where the narcotics was located was filled with chicken. As a result of the ongoing search, 40 packets of suspected narcotics cocaine, weighing 45kg and 500 grams, were found inside the chicken load.
Police report that investigative work continues to identify and apprehend suspected persons hiding behind the shipment of narcotics. This is the second amount of drugs seized by Durres Police at the port in a month's arch after on May 17th another load of 59kg of cocaine was seized in a coal container that came from Ecuador. /abcnews.al/
