A man who allegedly is Albanian Erion Hasanbelliu has been wounded with firearms in Belgium.
Foreign media suggest the event took place around 20:20 in the Place De Brockère neighbourhood in downtown Brussels.
Belgian media report that the 43-year-old has received six shots in the body, back and foot. The Albanian is taught that he is currently in hospital and is in critical condition for life, Oranews reports.
Police are looking for authors.
Speaking immediately after the police response, Brussels Mayor Philippe Close condemned the shooting and assured that police are doing everything they can to ensure the safety of visitors in the capital.
Who is Erion Hasanbelliu?
Erion Hasanbelliu is a known name for Albanian justice, since in 2013 he was extradited from Brussels to Albania after he and his brother are charged that, in 2002, they were killed in Belgium, Julian Cela and seriously injured, Cassander Nogan. His brother Geron Hasanbell has been cuffed on June 14, 2013, on the Barricades road in Tirana.
The arrest and extradition of Hasanbell in 2013 was made after the Fier Court, with the September 7th 2009 ruling, sentenced to 25 years the removal of freedom for carrying out the criminal work of “alleged blood feuds committed in co-operation”, the presuming “blood feuding attempted “carried out in attempted co-operation, the “non-licit weapons possession of”.
According to State Police, at that time Erion Hasanbell in collaboration with his brother Geron Hasanbell has killed citizens Julian Cela and wounded Cassander Nogan. The event happened in Belgium.
